# Join CMHPEC ( HyperAIBox Bootstrap )

This is the only required script to join HPEC CMHPEC as a worker node. Copy & paste this entire script into your HyperAIBox terminal.

### Overview

This page describes how to join the **CMHPEC network** as a worker node using **HyperAIBox**.

Joining CMHPEC transforms a physical or virtual machine into a **permissioned, zero-trust worker node** that can execute workloads within the HPEC ecosystem.

This is the **only required bootstrap process** for node participation.

***

### What Happens When You Join CMHPEC

By running the bootstrap script, your node:

* Joins the CMHPEC secure overlay network
* Registers as a **worker-only** Kubernetes node
* Becomes eligible for task scheduling
* Operates under DAO-governed constraints
* Cannot expose public services directly

No control-plane access is granted to worker nodes.

***

### Security Guarantees

CMHPEC enforces strict infrastructure security by design:

* No public ports exposed
* Worker-only Kubernetes role
* Zero-trust encrypted networking
* Identity-based node admission
* Fully revocable access

Nodes cannot escalate privileges or operate outside assigned roles.

***

### Power Loss & Reboot Behavior

The bootstrap configuration ensures autonomous recovery.

After power loss or reboot, the node:

* Automatically reconnects to the CMHPEC network
* Restores the encrypted mesh
* Safely restarts the K3s agent
* Resumes workload eligibility

No manual intervention is required.

***

### Bootstrap Requirements

Before running the script, ensure:

* Linux-based OS (bare metal or VM)
* Root or sudo access
* Outbound internet connectivity
* HyperAIBox environment installed

***

### Bootstrap Script

> Copy and paste the **entire script** into your HyperAIBox terminal.

This script:

* Installs secure networking
* Authenticates the node
* Verifies connectivity
* Registers the worker with CMHPEC

*(Script content remains exactly as shown — no changes required.)*

***

### Node Status After Bootstrap

Once completed, your node becomes:

* Discoverable by the CMHPEC scheduler
* Available for ANaaS workloads
* Governed by DAO policies
* Eligible for revenue participation

***

### Who Should Join

This process is intended for:

* Independent node operators
* HyperAIBox Node Runners
* Infrastructure partners
* DAO-approved operators

***

### Summary

Joining CMHPEC is a **single-command operation** that converts hardware into decentralized compute infrastructure.

> No dashboards.\
> No manual configuration.\
> Just autonomous participation.

```bash
#!/usr/bin/env bash
set -e
echo "🚀 HPEC DAO | CMHPEC Worker Bootstrap"
## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.
Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:
```
GET https://hyper-performance-edge-computing.gitbook.io/hyper-performance-edge-computing-hpec-dao-docs/documentation/basics-execution-layer/markdown/join-cmhpec-hyperaibox-bootstrap.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```
`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
