# Identity + Origin

#### From HyperAIBox Node Runners to HPEC DAO

HPEC DAO did not start as a company, a product, or a whitepaper.\
It started as **independent HyperAIBox node runners**, operating real hardware, learning the network, and collaborating organically across borders.

This page documents that journey — visually and historically — so other HyperAIBox operators can understand **where HPEC came from** and **why joining makes sense**.

### 🎥 Our Starting Point: HyperAIBox Node Runners

> *“Before HPEC DAO existed, there were node runners.”*

We began as individual operators running **HyperAIBox nodes**, contributing compute, uptime, and reliability to the HyperCycle network.

This first video captures that early phase — real machines, real operators, real participation.

**Video: HyperAIBox Node Runners – Early Days**

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/h0z1j8yNQtk?si=NJxO1HzhmuL-QbAh>" %}

**What this represents:**

* Independent node operation
* Hands-on infrastructure responsibility
* Learning by operating
* No abstraction, no automation layer — just operators and hardware

This is where most HyperAIBox runners start.

***

### 🌍 From Individual Nodes to a Decentralized Community

As more HyperAIBox operators came online across different regions, something became clear:

> Running nodes individually was powerful —\
> **running them together was transformative.**

Operators began sharing:

* Operational knowledge
* Best practices
* Monitoring approaches
* Reliability strategies

This organic coordination laid the foundation for **structured decentralization**.

### 🎥 The Birth of HPEC DAO & Node Factories

The second video documents the transition from:\
**isolated node running → coordinated decentralized infrastructure**

**Video: Building HPEC DAO & HyperCycle Node Factories**

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/CNWXo4c-Luc?si=KNi5Nh8lzk6HLCqX>" %}

**What changed in this phase:**

* HyperAIBoxes became **Node Factory components**
* Operators gained **defined roles and authority**
* Infrastructure became **economically productive**
* Governance replaced ad-hoc coordination
* Services replaced raw compute

This is where **HPEC DAO was born**.

***

### 🏗️ Why Node Factories Matter

A Node Factory is not a data center.\
It is a **DAO-governed cluster of sovereign nodes** working together under shared rules.

Through Node Factories, HyperAIBox operators can:

* Pool capacity without losing sovereignty
* Earn from real services (ANaaS, AaaS)
* Participate in DAO-level governance
* Scale beyond solo node operation
* Turn infrastructure into a long-term productive asset

### 🤝 An Open Invitation to HyperAIBox Node Runners

If you are currently:

* Running a HyperAIBox
* Considering having hardware to run Node Factories.
* Operating independently without coordination

Then HPEC DAO represents the **next natural evolution**.

You do **not** give up:

* Your keys
* Your node ownership
* Your sovereignty

You gain:

* Structure
* Coordination
* Services
* Economic alignment
* DAO-backed execution

### 🚀 From Node Runner to Infrastructure Operator

HPEC DAO exists to answer one question:

> **“What if HyperAIBox node runners built real infrastructure together?”**

These videos are not marketing.\
They are **proof of work**.

If you recognize yourself in this story —\
you already belong here.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://hyper-performance-edge-computing.gitbook.io/hyper-performance-edge-computing-hpec-dao-docs/documentation/basics-execution-layer/images-and-media.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
